Quartz Stone Introduction
Silicosis: Crystalline silica, primarily in the form of quartz, poses significant health hazards when inhaled. These risks are most pronounced during the cutting, grinding, or polishing of quartz products, as these activities release fine silica particles into the air. These particles are small enough to be inhaled deep into the lungs, leading to irreversible and often fatal conditions.
Korey Stone has developed low-silica and zero-silica quartz to reduce and prevent the risks posed by crystalline silica to workers during stone processing. Most quartz colors are currently available in low-silica and zero-silica versions.
Production Process of Quartz
Raw materials such as quartz sand powder and resin are placed in a blender. The blended materials are then mixed and evenly arranged to a desired thickness. The resulting wet materials are then fed into a press and pressed into shape under vacuum. The pressed sheets are then fed into a curing oven at approximately 105°C for curing. Physical and chemical reactions occur during the curing process, generating significant heat. The curing oven also creates very high sheet temperatures, requiring a cooling system to bring the sheets closer to ambient temperature. If the sheet temperature is too high, directing it to room temperature can lead to extremes of heat and cold, causing deformation or even cracking. Polishing: This process transforms semi-finished sheets into finished products. This process involves cutting, calibrating thicknesses, grinding, and polishing, which can affect the sheet's dimensions, finish, and defects such as sanding marks. Qualified sheets are packaged and undergo grading, inspection, labeling, coding, and lamination.

MOQ is 1 container usually. Export from Qingdao port and Yantian port. Delivery time is about 15 - 25 days after deposit received. We also provide free samples in the container, size 200x125x20mm or customized. All slabs are inspected before delivery to guarantee grade A quality.
